Meet the 2025 Ambassadors

History will judge us by the difference we make in the everyday lives of children.

Sophya

A remarkable young girl who joined our clinic in late 2022, Sophya was born with Periventricular Leukomalacia. Sophya has faced challenges due to damage to her frontal lobe, affecting her speech and the right side of her body. She also has lesions throughout her brain and has been diagnosed with level 3 Autism. Since beginning her journey with us, Sophya has made impressive strides in Physical and Speech therapies. One of the signifi cant improvements has been the strengthening of her ankle and the stability provided by a brace, allowing her to enjoy activities like jumping on a trampoline and climbing stairs. Additionally, Sophya is developing her communication skills, now saying simple words, pointing, or using her AAC device. She has started to respond to her name, can catch and throw balls, and is progressing wonderfully in embracing everyday activities that all children should enjoy. We are proud of her progress and are excited to watch her thrive and achieve new milestones.

Jack

A wonderful young boy who was diagnosed with Degenerative Autoimmune Disorder which affects neurological function, Jack started early with physical, occupational, and speech therapies. He has made tremendous strides. Initially unable to communicate, Jack began using an AAC device through which he could express his needs and feelings. Today, he no longer needs the device and is speaking fl uently and even enjoys singing! Additionally, Jack had some sensory issues and difficulty with self-feeding and grasping objects. Now, he can feed himself and is actively participating in school activities including holding a pencil and playing with toys. Despite having weak legs, unable to walk, and having hip surgery, he is standing and taking steps in his gait trainer. He continues to work at strengthening his core and maintaining his balance in a seated position. We are incredibly proud of Jack’s progress and look forward to watching him achieve all of his goals.
